Transitional Kindergarten: Students are provided with a curriculum designed to allow for needed individual maturation while providing instruction that is appropriately challenging.

Kindergarten: Students are given a full academic program designed to provide a strong foundation for reading and math. Science, social studies, art, music, and PE are also included in the daily program.

Grades 1-3: Fundamentals are stressed. The students are guided in building a firm foundation of essentials in reading and math.

Grades 4-5: The students continue to build fundamental skills. They learn to work independently and in groups. In fifth grade the educational program is designed to prepare the students for middle school. The development of personal responsibility for behavior and school work is emphasized.

Grades 6-8 (Middle School): Our Middle School students move between classrooms for a seven period day, including Bible, P.E., enrichments and basic academic classes.

The Bible: SGCS believes that the bible is inspired, inerrant, authoritative, and sufficient.  This conviction lies at the heart of the entire school.  The Core Bible Curriculum for all students ensures that they receive the message of the gospel no matter how long they are at SGCS.  Old and New Testament sections are covered at each grade level.  Narratives are presented from the vantage point of who God is rather than focusing on the human characters.  Discovering, expounding, and applying the author’s intended meaning of each text is the explicit goal.  The bible curriculum is designed to model for students how they can do this on their own as they see this modeled by their teachers.
