Contactless Drop Off & Pick Up

For the safety of our students and staff, be sure to familiarize yourself with our Contactless Drop Off & Pick Up Protocols for this school year. (Check out our protocols video below!)
When dropping off your student at the beginning of the day, please pull all the way forward to the black gate. Wait in your vehicle while your child gets out of the car. They will have their temperatures taken and you’ll receive the “thumbs up” indicating you are free to drive away. If your child needs extra assistance getting out of the car, please pull up PAST the crosswalk, and walk your child to the gate.
For after-school pick up, head South on Pine Street and enter the 2nd gate. Follow the cones and pull all the way up to the next car in front of you. We will load 5 students at a time, and once all 5 students are safely in their vehicles, those 5 vehicles will exit, and the next 5 vehicles will pull into the loading zone.
For your safety, it is incredibly important that you remain in your vehicle and never enter the campus on foot through the car gates.
Thank you for your help in keeping us all healthy & safe!

Los Angeles County has health mandates in place to keep youth athletes safe. SGCS is following all of the guidelines that the LA County Health department has mandated. A new mandate that has just recently been added for youth sports is weekly COVID-19 testing for student athletes age 12 and older who are not vaccinated. Any student athlete 11 years old or younger does not need to be tested if they are participating outside. All athletes who participate in volleyball need to be tested because it is inside.  If you have any questions, please email Coach Pearce at:spearce@sangabrielchristian.org

Future Engineers

Second grade enjoyed putting on their “creativity caps” with the Lego Master Building Challenge. The students were inspired to think outside of the box and put their engineering skills on display.

Welcome to the music program at SGCS!
Over several decades, our music program has been one of thehighlights of our school. It is an honor and a privilege to continue the tradition of teaching students to glorify God with instrument and voice.
The program continues to provide an enjoyable choral and instrumentalexperience for everyone. Students with a range of musical ability join together each week to learn how to produce beautiful music in a nurturing environment.
San Gabriel Christian School choirs and instrumental ensembles study a wide range of repertoire and perform regularly throughout the year.
Choral instruction is based on the Kodaly approach to music education and instrumental instruction is based on the Suzuki Method. Rehearsal attendance is of utmost importance, as it equips each student with the skills needed to become a sensitive and knowledgeable musician.
Personal practice time outside of school is required for all student musicians. A daily practice time builds confidence, trains muscle memory, and fosters consistency with faster results.
All ensembles will practice on campus this school year. Praise the Lord! Proper accommodations will be made to follow state and county guidelines. It is our hope and prayer that the band program will return for 3rd Quarter. Please indicate any interest in band classes on the forms attached and I will be sure to communicate updated information as the year progresses.
Kindly sign and return the attached documents to the office by Friday, September 10th and please feel free to reach out with any questions. It is a such joy and blessing to make music together. I am looking forward to a wonderful school year!
